WHAT WE SAID ON TWITTER:

"The first thing that struck me when it came to installing the piece was just how spatially deceptive this long, tall, thin space is."

Find out about artist Sara Willett's experience of creating work for Curious Projects at
The Labyrinth:

Curious Projects was
on the Coastal Culture Trail "Off
the beaten track".

Curious Projects was on the South East Coast Art Map.

From June 2014 to June 2016, Curious Projects curated a programme of exhibitions in a tiny (but quirky) space in The Labyrinth in central Eastbourne.

We exhibited ambitious sculptural and installation work, aiming to support artistic practices which involve 'making' within a contemporary critical framework.

Previously a shop window, the space was situated in an indoor Edwardian shopping arcade, incongruously nestled between a nail salon, a florist and a palm reader. We were particularly interested in work that could provide fuel for discussions on the interplay (or perhaps disjunction) between making and thinking.
